Slalom

Zero Legacy Brand Storytelling & Explainer Film

The Brief:

Produce an animated explainer for Slalom's Zero Legacy service, working from existing brand guidelines. The script arrived dense with internal marketing language and no storyboard was provided.

My Role:

The first creative decision was the script. I stripped back the jargon, restructured the narrative to lead with the human benefit and made the proposition immediately accessible to a non-specialist audience. Getting the words right before a single frame was animated was as important as anything that followed.

I then created the full storyboard, art directed the piece against Slalom's brand guidelines and animated everything end to end, building a typography-driven 2D animation centred around a bold zero as the key visual, using kinetic type, fast-cut transitions and a vibrant soundtrack to give it the energy of a product launch rather than a corporate explainer. AI voiceover integrated throughout, with full audio and SFX mix handled in-house.

The 9x16 social cut was rethought for mobile composition rather than simply cropped from the landscape version.

What this demonstrates:

01
Creative initiative beyond the brief

02
Script development and narrative thinking

03
Brand guideline interpretation for motion

04
End-to-end solo production

05
AI integrated into a professional workflow
